I'm unable to assign a default reporter to this email handler. It was working until I changed the name of the user. Now I'm unable to assign any account as default reporter, not just the "MG Warehouse Management" account. Is there something I'm missing? This was fully working previously.
After clicking on the account that I want to assign as default reporter I'm still getting the message "You haven't provided Default Reporter and Create Users is off. Messages sent by unknown users will be silently ignored." Even when building a new mail handler I run into this problem.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hi Bailey,
It's hard to troubleshoot this without seeing the data. Might I suggest trying to recreate the mail handler from scratch?
Hi Jack!
I have tried recreating the mail handler from scratch but I run into the same issue. Let me know whatever data would be helpful. I'll attach more SCs.

can you not enter any user as default. For example your own user?

Correct, I can't find a user that works in that field. It gives me the message: "You haven't provided Default Reporter and Create Users is off. Messages sent by unknown users will be silently ignored." This happens even if I create a new mail handler.

The default reporter stays in the field after clicking save, but that error doesn't go away and the mail handler doesn't work properly.

From Atlassian Support: "Based on your description, I understand that you have configured an incoming mail handler, where you defined the Default Reporter, but you still see a warning while configuring it. Am I right?
If so, you can ignore the warning, as it will be removed only if you select CREATE USERS. Therefore, as long as you informed a default reporter, it will work, despite the warning message."
The warning still shows up (oddly enough, it didn't used to show after selecting a default reporter) but it does appear to be working. The main issue was the accounts that were set as default reporter not having permissions to create tasks in this project.

Quite odd but appreciate your updates here!

Agreed, that error/warning message was throwing me off I guess. It didn't used to come up. Thanks for your help!
