Hi, hoping someone can help and save me from insanity.
I have added the "Time Spent" field to our JIRA issue layout - both at the project level and by going into each issue type and configuring it that way - but not matter what I do or where I move it to on the issue layout the "time spent" field is just not being shown
I'd massively appreciate any help or guidance in resolving this issue - I want to track time spent on tickets so I can more easily produce time tracking reports in JIRA and I can't at the moment :(
@Henry Dean I dont think Sagar answered the question. I have the same issue.
The only workaround I can find is creating a dashboard and using the Filter Results to showcase the time spent.
Unless someone can assist, the Time Spent field appears on the issue layout, field config, and issue screen.
Anyone from Atlassian care to comment?
Hi, @Chris.Sterba
I had the same problem, I solved it by changing the go to setting - time tracking settings - Time tracking provider

Hi @Henry Dean In Jira Cloud, the "Time Spent" field (also known as "Logged Work") is a is part of the time tracking feature in Jira and it is shown in the work log tab in the activity section where comments, history is shown it is not like other Jira fields that will be shown on the Jira issue screen.
When Time Tracking is enabled in Jira site these fields are automatically get created.
Please check the below document for more details.
