Hello,
We are currently using Jira Service Management cloud version and we would like to activate Azuze AD synchronization. After some research, we realized that we had to use Atlassian Access, a paid service, to benefit from this functionality. Is there a free alternative given that the price is excessive given the large number of users we have (+15000)?
If yes, can you please tell me how to do it or links to tutorials?
I thank you in advance for your attention to my request.
Hi @UMONS
No I'm afraid not. You might stumble upon this plugin but it uses Atlassian Access too https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1222230/azure-active-directory?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
Do you have +15000 users with actual product access? Jira, Confluence, Trello, ...
Users with access to the Jira Service Management portal only do not count towards the Atlassian Access license.
Hello @Charlie Misonne,
Thank you for your answer, we are a university and have acquired 50 premium licenses to Jira Service Management, only 50 people max use the tool to create and process tickets. The 15000 users just need to be able to access the portal to create or consult their tickets.
Can you tell me where I can find the information that only licensed agents need to subscribe to Atlassian Access please?
Can you also confirm that there is no user quota that can be synchronized ?

Hi!
If you are using Jira Cloud and Azure Active Directory you might like Azure AD Attributes for Jira, an app developed by our team at Deviniti, that display user attributes (as phone number, department, manager or office location) of AD users on the issue and request views. You can also use it to copy those data to custom fields and use it later in Automation.
This is a paid solution however as an academic institution you can benefit from the discount mentioned above by Charlie.
Best regards,
Kasia
