Status transition on 'Complete Sprint'?

Pål_Krister_Johansen October 12, 2018

So in our board we have 6 statuses and 4 columns. Our 4 columns are the statuses To Do, In ProgressQA, and Done. Upon transitioning from QA to Done the Resolution is set to Done. But one of our statuses which isn't on the board is called Archived. The thought here is that when the sprint is over we want all the cases that were finished to be set as archived.

What I'm looking for is if there is a way to automate this transition in some form. Is it possible to put some sort of transition on the Complete Sprint action?

As it stands today we have to first complete the sprint to ensure the reports are correct in that regard, and then go through every task that was completed and set them to Archived.

Hi @Pål_Krister_Johansen,

The thought here is that when the sprint is over we want all the cases that were finished to be set as archived.

I would like to understand, what is the aim to set as archived? You can search closed, open, future sprints in Jira. Please check this link.

*Btw, you can perform bulk transition in Jira. You don't need to do it one-by-one.
