We've setup and integration between the Pivotal and Jira. our workflow is as follows:
1. Item is logged in JIra
2. If prioritized for work it is pulled into pivotal (this works fine); a story is then created in pivotal and an approriate comment is created
3. Comments on the story in Pivotal are propogaged back into Jira
However, the problem is that state changes in Pivotal are not being propagated to Jira. We are not using any exotic Jira workflows - just the standard default and have setup the integration using thes insructions:
https://www.pivotaltracker.com/help/integrations#external_integrations
https://www.pivotaltracker.com/help/integrations?version=v3#jira
Anyone have any ideas?
Be interested to hear if you get it working. I know the Pivotal documentation you've linked to is at least a year old, if not more. Is it possible that the changes to the JIRA API between when that doc was written and now are a factor?
You might contact the Pivotal folks and ask them what version of JIRA does that integration support. Hope you get it working.
Are you using the default workflow in JIRA or is this a custom workflow?
Currently, only the default JIRA issue workflow is supported. If you've configured your JIRA instance with a non-standard workflow, issue state updates from Tracker may not work.
The integration document you've linked to says this integration only works with the jira default workflow - a custom workflow may not show issue updates from Pivotal. Could that be the issue?
