Dear Atlassian team,

our software development team works decentralized and uses our Jira/Confluence server installations from home via VPN. The installations run in our company network and are not accessible otherwise:

Access is often very(!) slow, some days more, some days less. When we access Atlassian via a remote desktop client in the office, everything works fine.

Is there any trick in the configuration we should try?

I read something about whitelisting but I'm not sure what I would have to do and if it would help.

Thank you very much for your advice.

Julia

Hi Julia,

Welcome to Atlassian Community :)

I don't think there will be any speed problem on the Jira and Confluence side (if everything works fine in the office). You will probably have a problem - a limitation directly on the VPN server or another network problem.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Are there any known issues regarding VPN configurations that I could point out to our IT?

Unfortunately I can't advise, I've never managed a VPN.
