Hi,

I've created userstory templates (userstories in a sprint called templates) which are cloned for each new item.
Now I would like to get these stories to show in the backlog of several teams (while having the source still on my backlog, so changes to these are automatically shared across teams).

Is there any way to do this? I have added a label to these items. Can the backlog filters maybe be changed to include this label?

Hello Lars,

Welcome to Atlassian community!

I understand that you would like to share some issues with a specific label cross several boards in JIRA. Is it correct?

The filters of the boards can be easily updated to return those issues, by performing the steps below:

1 - Navigate to the board(s) > Click on the three dots menu at the top right corner > Board settings

2 - Click to Edit Filter Query and add the parameter to return issues with the label:

Project = XYZ or labels = 123

The only observation here is that, if your issue is configured in a sprint of another board, that same sprint will be also displayed in the board you have edited the filter with the mentioned issues.

That been said, in order to display the issue in the backlog of the board it must be not added to any Sprint in that board or in any other boards.

Now, if you are trying to display the same issue in the backlog of a board while it is in the Sprint of another board, I believe you will need to clone the issue and use a third-party add-on to update the cloned issue every time the original one is updated, like Automation for JIRA.

Doing the steps above, you will be able to keep the original issue in your sprint while adding the other cloned issue is on the backlog of the other boards but receiving the same values as the original one.

Let me know if you still have any questions.
