I would need some help with setting up an epic. We now have the main project (client) as the epic and have set the sub-projects as tabs under the epic screen - one for general, website updates for the client, one for emails and one for blogs. Each tab has several tick boxes or drop downs and all of these are mandatory. The way it's set up right now is that you have to fill in ALL the fields in each tab even when you only log a bug on one of the tabs.
I wonder if there is a way to keep the tabs and all the fields in them as mandatory but not to have to fill in all of the tabs when logging bug to just one of them? For example, if I log a bug on the website updates tab I have to also fill in all the fields for blog and email. The fields within the tab being filled should remain mandatory as we also use this data for reporting purposes and want to ensure all users fill the fields.
I've included a screenshot showing the tabs and an example of tick boxes.
Many thanks in advance!
Hi Laura,
If you have set the fields as required in the Field Configuration, you will need to create separate Field Configurations for each issue type. That way you can have different required fields based on the issue type.
Go to Settings > Issues > Field Configuration Schemes
