Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a solution to efficiently manage and export our Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documentation using Jira Cloud.
Our Setup:
- We have a Jira Cloud project where we create issues representing different sections of our SRS document (e.g., Overview, Introduction, Functional Requirements, etc.).
- We link these issues to corresponding Confluence pages for additional details.
The Challenge: Our goal is twofold:
- Organize and Visualize the SRS Hierarchy: We need a tool that enables us to create a structured hierarchy with sections, headings, and a drag-and-drop interface to easily manage and visualize the document structure.
- Export the Documentation: Once organized, we would like to export the complete SRS documentation into PDF or Word formats for sharing and review.
What We’ve Tried:
- We initially explored using the Structure plugin combined with the Better PDF Exporter.
- However, we learned from Midori support that the PDF export tool is not supported on Jira Cloud.
- Other options we’ve attempted have not fully met our needs.
My Question: Could anyone recommend a tool or approach for Jira Cloud that:
- Allows for intuitive, drag-and-drop organization of issues into a hierarchical structure (similar to creating sections in a document).
- Supports exporting the fully structured documentation into PDF or Word formats.
Any suggestions, workarounds, or experiences with similar setups would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!
