QUESTION: Automatically transition issue status

I have added a status (workflow step) to our JIRA called Pending, meaning that it waits for the customer to answer a question from us. As soon as the customer answers the question, I want the issue to automatically transition into Open status. Is this possible?

Atlassian has told me that this is impossible for JIRA oD. The JIRA Toolkit won't work or is, at least, seriusly crippled for the ondemand version. :S

I'm not familiar with onDemand. However, I do know that the plugin is included as part of the free add-on plugin for onDemand users. You can refer here for onDemand plugins policy
