Post-Function "Copy value from other field" doesn't show custom fields anymore?

About half a year ago, I followed this instruction here to create a custom "Description (Initiative)" field that contains a default text. At the workflow configuration step, I have added a post-function "copy value from other field" which eventually shows as follows:

This week, I wanted to replicate this for another custom field, but on the post-function's copy screen it was not possible to select my custom field from the dropdown.

So I went back to this field which I adapted about half a year ago to check if I could edit the existing value. And it really looks like that it's not possible anymore to select the custom field "Description (Initiative)". It's not shown in the dropdown any longer (only "Description" is listed)?

Has this feature been removed from JIRA Cloud? Or does this rather look like a bug?

+1. I am literally following the mentioned workaround as a try-out of the software suite. 

When creating a bug-type ticket I want people to see the description field filled with out with a default template so there's a standard in data-delivery. Being able to copy that data over from the custom description field with the default template into the normal description field upon ticket creation (and then hide the custom description field) is the logical next step, and we need to be able to select custom fields in the post function for that.

Unless Atlassian delivers us the option to populate (the description) field with default data, which would make this whole workaround obsolete I think?

I can confirm this. The often proposed workaround for descrption templates is broken now.

I think this should be a bug, because why wouldn't I want to copy values from custom fields anymore. 

This broke the the current ticket creation for us, because since a few hours the copyied over values are [object Object] only. All the information is lost.
