On the activity screen, I am getting an error for a few specific users

I get the error as shown below once I click on the error url displayed. There is an error in the background which says "Error communicating with the server...." This page was working fine some time back and has suddenly started for a few users in our company. Please help.

Hi Vishes,

May I know does the error happen on other browser as well? I suspect is due of IE8 problem, please try to re-indexing your Jira.

If the problem persist, kindly try the following steps.

1. Change the "Default language" to "English (United States)" under Administration -> General Configuration -> Edit Configuration.
2. Change JIRA character encoding going to Administration -> General Configuration -> Internationalization -> Character Encoding and setting it to UTF-8.
