Hello

We are using customized plugins in obsolete Jira version 3.12. Can we reuse the same plugins in upgraded Jira versions. Any compatibility checks required to use the plugins in upgraded versions.

Can anyone advise. Thank you

Hi @Manibharathi

as you state it is a custom made plugin the only chance I see to test on a pre-production environment (basically an upgraded copy of your production instance) first.

It makes a lot of sense to involve the person which initially wrote the plugin given the assumption you can get hold of them.

For Apps from Marketplace I agree there is always the option to check for compatibility with later versions of Jira.

Regards,
Daniel

Hi @Manibharathi

You can check compatibility in the Plugin Vendor in Atlassian Marketplace, that's the only way.

Thanks,
Pramodh
