Managing Versions for more JIRA-Projects

I'm working with more sw-components. Each sw-component has it's own JIRA-Project. So i'm working also with al lot of JIRA-Projects.

Now our company has "general" Relase-Dates for all our sw-components.

So my question is: is it possible to add/manage Versions for more (all/dedicated) JIRA-Projects?

JIRA Command Line Interface has various version actions that can be used to automate dealing with versions.
