Load testing on Jira

Guys

Is there a way to test any new jira installation in high load. Has anyone tried it?

My new jira installation works fine when I use it but I am bit worried on how it would react to high load say when I make it live and hundreds of users log in, will it be able to cope?

Last week only 5 users performed testing simultaneously on it and the instance crashed due to memory issue.

Load data using this plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.jira.plugins.jira-data-generator
