Layout of Jira Cards within the new Microsoft Teams client

Jira cards are rendered in a very unfortunate way in the new Microsoft Teams client. They have a bad, broken layout, are huge and cannot be deactivated or removed.

Anybody experience the same, or is there a newer client to go with?

Unfortunately not. Support opened a ticket for me, but it was closed without a comment: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-82410

Hello Nicolas,

I understand your frustration with the way Jira cards are being rendered in the new Microsoft Teams client. It can be quite challenging when integrations don’t work as expected, especially in a collaborative tool like Teams. Here are a few suggestions and things to consider:

  1. Check for Updates: Ensure that both Microsoft Teams and the Jira Cloud integration are updated to the latest versions. Sometimes, issues like these are resolved in newer updates.

  2. Review Integration Settings: In Teams, check if there are settings within the Jira integration that allow for customization of how cards are displayed. Sometimes, layout issues can be addressed through configuration options.

  3. Feedback to Developers: Since this seems to be a specific issue with the integration, consider providing feedback directly to the developers of the Jira Cloud integration for Teams. They might not be aware of the issue or could be in the process of developing a fix.

  4. Alternative Client Versions: Try using a different version of the Teams client, such as the web version or a previous version, to see if the issue persists. This could help determine if it’s an issue specific to the new client.

  5. Community and Support Forums: Engage with community forums for both Microsoft Teams and Jira. Other users might have experienced the same issue and could have found a workaround or solution.

  6. Temporary Workarounds: Until there’s a fix, consider using alternative methods for integrating Jira updates into Teams, like notifications or a different plugin, if the layout issue is too disruptive.

  7. Consult IT Support: If your organization has an IT support team, they might have more insights or be able to contact Microsoft or Atlassian directly for a solution.

I hope one of these suggestions helps resolve your issue. If anyone else in the community has experienced this and found a solution, it would be great to hear your thoughts as well.
