Jira Webhooks - Anyone know how to limit the fields that are sent in a webhook

We have too many fields going through our webhook and it is failing. Does anyone know if there is a way to either limit the custom fields in a webhook, or to restrict or limit the number of custom fields from our instance that are visible to our project, and in turn limits what fields go through the webhook?
