I enabled Jira notifcations for Microsoft Teams and the notifications work good with the configuration setup in Jira for MS Teams Intengration.
But if there is an @mention in the comment - it shows as a Unique code for each user. Is there a way to show the @mention as-is like Slack notification for Jira currently show-up.
Teams shows the notification as: Checked with [~accountid:5b50e2c51f33802cd1c809f3] and [~accountid:557058:9f059e7e-33fc-4b1f-953d-9bf11d6ac4dc] - No changes needed.
Slack shows the same notification it was entered in Jira: Checked with Checked with @Dave.Rush and @JorgeTun - No changes needed.
Hi @Sri Veeramachaneni , were you able to solve this issue? We are experiencing the same situation. Would be great to get some help on this. Thanks!
No @Ingrid Hernandez . Basically we were using Teams Public API to connect to Jira to get notifications. The new security feature Jira enabled will encrypt User names for Public API connections.
We are surviving with the issue.

Thanks @Sri Veeramachaneni ! I'll guess we'll have to live with it too.

Hi @Sri Veeramachaneni ,
Thanks for your question.
The problem you face may be related to the Jira comment settings, please switch the 'Text' comment to 'Visual' (see screenshots), so it should solve the issue.
In case it won't help, please contact us at https://www.softserveinc.com/en-us/msteams-atlassian-privacy-policy by filling in the form provided there so that we can investigate the issue further.
Best regards,
