Jira Daily Report, .NET Windows Service (C#)

I have a requirement to generate a customized daily report based on some filter (This report will be mailed by automated system). Can I get some sample code to fetch the details from Jira (Internally hosted). Pls help.

Any reasons why you cannot use the filter subscription functionality (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Receiving+Search+Results+via+Email)?

Thanks for the link.

But my requirement is to have a report as an html/email with Three Groups (Open, Resolved, Deferred) with custom columns and history/comments.

That's why I need to connect from c# code.
