JIRA bulk reassign tickets

How can I reassign closed tickets back to a user whose AD directory entry was removed?

Surely I can manipulate everything via sql but there has to be a way to reassign closed tickets to a user.

Hi,

you could try add the user to the internal jira directory and assign the issues to this new user. Thats what i've done in my installation.
