JIRA FileViewer halts in IE11?

Dear fellow Atlassian fans,

Running JIRA 7.12.1 with IE 11.0.9600.19100 Update-Version 11.0.75, screen gets black showing "waiting" wheel whenever I click on an attachment (in particular, .png).

IE11 Debug (F12) shows "batch.js: Object does not understand "assign" ... which is also confirmed by canido (static Object method assign not available in IE11).

* Can I disable inline file viewing, resorting do "download" as default?

* ... or is there a better solution available (not changing IE11)?

Hi Bernhard,

Unfortunately, you seem to be running through the following bug:

• https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-67929

The bug has been resolved and the fix will be shipped in the upcoming release. The current work around as mentioned in the bug ticket is to open the attachment in a new tab.
