Issues are not restored after restoring the project

Mathi January 30, 2025

Hi Team,

After restoring the project, issues are not restored.

Here are my observations..

  • Active sprint is empty (before archiving there were issues)
  • Upcoming sprint and backlog are also empty  (before archiving there were issues)
  • When i click sprint report, i can see the issues

Appreciate your support!

Thanks and Regards,

Mat

HI @Mathi ,

It should have restore all objects in the project. In order to understand what happen to your issues. Could you see what change in your issues that is preventing your backlog from showing any issues. Did the status change on those issues where they are not closed. Something is different where you board filters are no longer capturing your issues. If nothing has change on your issues and your board filter suppose to catch it, then I suggest to contact Atlassian Support to see if there's some weird quirk happening.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Benjamin for the fast response!. I have checked on my board settings and there wasn't any filter to preventing to show the issues.

What else I observed?

when i search for issues (project = "project key")  for the restored project, the results are empty. when i am looking at the list, i see the jira tickets.

Found the solution!
Before: to filter the issues project key was used,
After restoring: need to use the project name, then all issues appeared as before.
