Hello, Atlassian Team,

I’ve created a Company-managed Jira project using the Kanban template, and I want to link Stories to an Epic. However, the Epic Link field appears to be locked.

I tried adding the Epic Link field to the appropriate screen, but whenever I check a Story and its fields, it seems that the Epic Link field has been replaced by Parent, and I’m unable to associate an Epic with the Story.

Could you please help me resolve this issue? Thank you very much!

Hi @Ignacio Rios,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The epic link field is being replaced by the new field called Parent, and you should use that field instead.

Thank you for your response and for clarifying the change! I now understand that the Epic Link field has been replaced by the Parent field and that I should use this new field instead.

 I appreciate your help!

 Best regards,
