Installation issue, MS SQL DB creation?

Hi, I'm trying to do an evaluation install of JIRA 7.3.1 on Windows Server 2012R2 with an MS SQL 2014 DB on a remote server.

Running the installer works fine, I can setup the DB in the web interface, the Connection test is successful, only then the browser tries to open http://localhost:8080/secure/SetupDatabase!default.jspa and this does not work. Browser tells me the page cannot be displayed. Restarting the JIRA server doesn't change this, uninstalling and reinstalling gives me the same result, http://localhost:8080 immediately redirects to the SetupDatabase URL above.

Any ideas?

Make sure to follow the instructions: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver072/connecting-jira-applications-to-sql-server-2012-828787572.html. It worked for me for MSSQL 2012.

I remember there are some problems with microsoft driver so make sure to use jtds driver,
