Initial Scope vs. Committed

Hello, I have been reporting out on our team's velocity for the past few weeks. To do so, I created a JIRA dashboard for myself with velocity widgets from each team project. I just checked today, and the "initial scope" that is reported in the velocity widget is not matching the "committed" value that is reported in the team's individual velocity report. 

My understanding has been that the "initial scope" and "committed" points are the same thing. Can someone help explain why these values are showing up differently (see Sprint 15 in the photos attached)?

It is hard to tell how this widget works and how it differs from the Jira built-in Agile velocity report. It might be the story point values were changed for some issues and therefore results are altered, or some other changes were done to issues from Sprint 15.

If you do have access to the "eazyBI for Jira app"you might want to take a look at the Sprint scope changes based on issue change history and story point values at the moment when the sprint starts and ends.

For example, what was committed, what was added or removed later, which issues were done before sprint was closed, which issues were completed after the sprint, and maybe some issues changed the story point value.

Are you using Jira Cloud or Jira Server/Data Center?

On Jira Cloud there is not a native "velocity" widget for dashboards. If you are on Jira Cloud then I suspect that this widget comes from a third party app. We would need to know which app that is in order to advise you.

Are you using Jira Cloud or are you using Jira Server/Data Center?

If you see a version number in the footer of the screens, then you are using Jira Server/Data Center.

As I said, on Jira Cloud there is not a native "velocity" gadget like what you've shown. If you are using Jira Cloud it was added to your system by the installation of a third party app, and we would need to know what that third party app is in order to offer any suggestions.

Consult with your Jira Administrators to determine which third party app provides the gadget.

Would you plz advise whether you're using Jira Cloud or not and provide me with the name of the 3rd part app being used to provide that screenshot? I have a similar requirement and hence would be interested in that app..
