How to reveal hidden columns without item

I made two columns but they are hidden because they don't have epics/stories/tasks etc., making it unclear how to transition an item and/or create a new one. Thanks for your help!

Hi Gabrielle - Columns that don't have issues should still appear on the board.

I suspect what's happening is that your columns don't have a status on them - every column must have at least one status, otherwise it won't appear on the board. You can fix this by doing the following:

1. Navigate to your board, select … in the top-right corner and select Board settings.
2. Select Columns.
3. Click Add status, give your new status a new (you can make it the same as the column if you like), and then drag that status to your column.
