How to remain in app after changing project

When I have a jira app open (zephyr scale in my case) and go to switch projects to view different test cases.  I am redirected to my home page.  I then have to re open the app again which is pretty annoying.  Is there any way to stay in the app I have open when I switch projects?

No as this app has it's own option in the side bar of a Jira project, based on the app development and this is based on each Jira [project as it sets an identifier.

This is also not ootb Jira functionality, but how the app is build.
