How to move projects to a new atlassian site?

As a company test I created a Atlassian site product-name.atlassian.net with Jira projects and Confluence spaces. It has gone well and the company has decided to move all future projects into Atlassian.

Now my problem is that I created the site with product-name.atlassian.net instead of company-name.atlassian.net.

How can I move over to the new site without losing our current Jira, Confluence work, and billing setup?

Hi @Adam Bang

Welcome to the community!

The most effective and efficient approach is to utilize the Cloud to Cloud Migration Assistant. You can find the detailed steps and an overview of the available methods in this support article.

Thanks, this worked.
I had two hiccups.

  1. I had to permanently delete a project in my target space because I used the same "Space name" . This wasn't an issue as it was empty
  2. Personal spaces failed to be copied over because the shared the same "space key".

Hello @Adam Bang

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Has the site company-name.atlassian.net already been created?

If not you could just rename your product-name.atlassian.net site.
