How to enable What is pending resolution in Jira

That is a custom field created by one of your admins most likely.

Jira has no such system field if my memory serves me correctly.

Go to Administration > Issues > Custom Fields page to confirm the type of field it is.

If I misunderstood your requirements then do clarify your description stating what you want to achieve.

I am the admin for my jira project and the user gave me the above screenshot and asked me to enable it. So, only asked your help in that

It is hard to advise on the above. By activate does the person mean shoing this field on the issues?

If yes, do the following:

1. Go to Your Project > Project Settings > Screens page.
2. Expand the screen.
3. Search for the field and add it to all screens.

Note that this option is available to you only if the screen is not shared by any other project, hence you may still need help from your Jira Application administrator.

If not my assumption above then please clarify what activate means.
