How to customize View screen buttons (remove default Assign & Assign to Me)

I have created a new "Assign bug" workflow, and now I have the default Assign, Assign to Me, and my new "Assign bug" button.

I want to remove the jira built-in defaults of Assign & Assign to Me to clean up the button bar. How can I do this?

Go to atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes folder in your JIRA installation directory and remove or comment out the assign-issue and assign-to-me web-item modules in system-issueoperations-plugin.xml. Restart JIRA after that

Even better, go to plugins under Administration and disable the following modules:

View Issue Ops Bar Assign Link

(assign-issue)

View Issue Ops Bar Assign To Me Link

(assign-to-me)

under Issue Operations Plugin!
