How to add IssueType to email subject line in Jira

Hi,

I need to modify the subject line of Jira email notification. I can add any test but not ablel to add "issue Type" sucessfully.

I added $issue.issueType to the subject vm file below but I it doesn't work.

D:\Atlassian\Jira_4_4_1_std\atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes\templates\email\subject\issueupdated.vm

Does anyone know how to add issuetype to the subject line?
