We have a business owner role defined for projects. This allows us to assign people to receive all notificaitons from a project when an issue is created or updated. The problem we are having is that the project administrator sometimes puts our jira-users group into that role. Then the entire company gets an email when an issue is created or updated for that specific project.
We have considered removing the business user role, but that limits our ability to easiy add and manage people who need to receive notifications. We need some way to prevent the jira-user group from being added to specific project roles. Or we need a way to alert the jira-administration team when someone assigns jira-users to an inappropriate project role.
