How do i ensure cards cannot be moved from one status to another if Components are not added

Hi There,

I would like to add a restriction so team members cannot move a card from one column to another if they have not entered the components. How would sch restrictions be added in the workflow. The only way the card can be moved over for example from "To-Do" to 'Verify ready" would be to add the appropriate components and move it over successfully.

Probably the best way to do this is with a validator that can check the field is not empty.  (You could do it with conditions too, but those do not tell the user why their transition is not allowed.  A validator pushes them back to a screen with a message to tell them what is wrong)

You'll need an app to provide the validator - Jira's base validators are minimal and only look at permissions.
