How do I customise the "Details Screen" once an issue has been created?

I created some customised fields and saved then - it works perfectly but when I save the issue I created, then the new fields don't dispay - can you please tell me how I go about getting the customised fields on the "Detail Screen)

This is a limitation in JIRA. 'Assign Issue' screen cannot be customised: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-8874

Have you added the new fields to the screens that you need?

Yes, I have added them to the screens. but I can't add them to the "assign screen". So once you create an issue and save it, the screen that displays can't be customised.
