When playing the video in Jira just by clicking the attached video file, there are gradation(or dark) effect in Top and bottom area by default. it prevent the users from checking the upper or bottom side correctly. so, it makes the them who should check the upper or bottom side quite annoyed.
It disappers a few secons after the mouse curson stops moving. but, it reappears whenever the mouse cursor is moved again. As a result, the user should wait every time playing the video is played initially and whenever the mouse curver is moved.
Is there any way tp disable the gradation effect by default?
It also seems that it only disappears while the video is playing. I want to take a screenshot of a place during a video but the fade covers up a portion but I can't capture the screenshot while it's playing. Very frustrating and there's no functional purpose for the fade.
I agree that this effect on the top and bottom of the video can be frustrating but it looks like it is a common thing these days in video players. I personally do not like this but I do not think that there would be an easy way to modify it from the interface without any code modification..
It is cloud so not many options to modify things.. Maybe using some web-browser extension? I think overall since you are on Standard plan not Free that it would be good to reach out directly to Atlassian Support. Maybe there is a hidden option.. if so please share it here also! :)
