Hi @Ersen Geyik

To remove the default assignee you'll need to be your Project's Admin and then:

  1. Go to the Project Settings
  2. Choose Details from the left-hand panel
  3. Scroll to the bottom of this page and change the Default Assignee to "Unassigned"
  4. Press Save Details

That only works if JIRA is setup to allow unassigned issues.

True @Joe Pitt!

I'm quite sure this is ON by default - but for completeness, it is something worth checking if this doesn't work for you - to check this in your org:

  1. Go to Jira Settings > System > General Configuration
  2. Check the setting "Allow Unassigned Issues" is ON
  3. If not, press Edit and change

^ If you want to turn it OFF, you'll need to ensure all issues are assigned first, and no projects have the "Default Assignee" set to Unassigned either.
