How can I add custom field of a team-managed project to the card layout of a board?

Hi,

I have created a board using a filter (includes the team-managed project and some specific users). I have a custom field 'SW Dev stage' in the team-managed project. 

I want to add this custom field to the card layout of the board, In the Board Settings > Card Layout, it shows that I can add up to 3 fields. However, I cannot see the custom field 'SW Dev stage' in the dropdown options. 

Is there something I am missing?

To add a custom field from a team-managed project to the card layout of a board, ensure the custom field is correctly configured in the project settings.

Team-managed project fields are unique to the project and may not appear in boards created from filters that span multiple projects.

If the custom field still doesn’t appear, confirm its visibility and try re-adding it under Board Settings > Card Layout.

To utilize a custom field across multiple projects, it must be a globally-scoped custom field. You mentioned that you created the field 'SW Dev stage' in a team-managed project, which is not set to global scope. Since the board is using a filter that includes both company-managed and team-managed projects, this is why the field is not visible under Board settings --> Card Layout --> Add fields.
