How can I add Resolution field in new issue view

Kriti Jain December 2, 2019

Hey, I am using Jira for the last 3 months and I want to add a resolution field in my new issue view which is available in the old view but I am not able to add it, please suggest me what can I do for this

I think it is good to have a resolution filed in our issue view so that we can change it and set a new resolution accordingly. It is also very helpful in finding the issues by their resolution from advance search.

Hi @Kriti Jain ,

You can see the resolution value in the new issue view aswell. Once the field is added to the respective screen (View screen from the admin section), you will be able to see the field on the screen. If the field is part of the edit screen, you can edit and add the new values to it.

See the screenshot of my jira ticket.

To check VIEW AND EDIT screens of your project:

  • Navigate to the respective project.
  • Click project Settings
  • Select screens
  • Edit the view and edit screen to add them to the issue.

Thanks, @[deleted]

As you mentioned above I already do this.

I added the resolution in my screen that I am using but in my issue layout, it is not showing resolution field and also not in my issue view.
