Hi,
I have access to premium version of JIRA software where I can create plans. While I am able to see the start and due dates for various Epics within my plan, I would like to see an aggregated view as well at the project level. How can I see that?
Below if the desired view for which I would like to see the start and end dates for each of my projecs:
Welcome to the Community!!
To Configure the Plans here's the guide on the same
You will have to select the Issue Source - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/common-jira-software-configurations-for-advanced-roadmaps
Let me know what further assistance you are looking at
Thanks,
Pramodh
Thanks Pramod for sharing this. However, I am still not very clear on how to see a view of start and end dates of various project within a plan based on their respective Epics. Can we please get on a quick call to sort this out?

Can you check this option in the plan and let me know if you are able to add the start date and end date
Thanks

I can see this and add start and end date but that's possible only for Epics within a project. The problem is I am not able to add start and end date to overall project. Also, what will be more helpful is that overall project row should automatically pick the start and end dates based on Epics within it.

Project Metadata doesn't have a Start date and End date in Jira.
We have an option to create an Initiative and map it with Epic and then provide the Start Date for an End date for the respective Initiative.

Thanks Pramod; this is really helpful. This has partially solved our problem. However, we are looking at a way where the initiative will pick the start and end date automatically based on the dates within the EPICs. As of now, we are able to enter dates manually against initiatives. Any recommendations for this?

There is concept called rolled up values which helps you with visible data on dates from Epic to Initiative and other details, but this doesn't help with updating the information.
If you have any add-ons such as Automation for Jira or Scriptrunner, you can configure the rule to automatically set the Start date and End date for the Initiative
I suggest you can manually update the information if you do not have add-on
