Anyone else having issues after the latest app update? I reached out to support but they directed me here. Here's the recap of what happened:
BEFORE APP UPDATE
On desktop and in our standups, I could view the active board for my team ordered by Epics. Only the Epics that had at least one active ticket appeared.
On the mobile app, where I'm generally only looking for a quick snapshot of what's in progress, I did not see any swimlanes. I liked that. It's compact and easy to scan.
AFTER APP UPDATE
The mobile app is showing swimlanes for ALL Epics in the project, including the ones that do not have stories on the active board. This creates a lot of visual clutter and makes it harder for me to do a quick scan of the team's progress.
Hunting around a little I found how to turn Swimlanes off in the app...but that also removes them from the desktop view which is problematic for the flow of our standup.
Hi Cindy,
Thanks for the feedback here. I'm interested to get your feedback in front of the team responsible here. But I'm not sure which team that is just yet.
As I understand it, you're using Jira and the mobile app. However I'm not clear if you're using Jira Server and the corresponding Jira Server mobile app, OR if maybe you're using a Jira Cloud site, and the corresponding Jira mobile app for Cloud.
The easiest way to determine this is not in the app itself, but when you login to your site via a web browser in a desktop machine, is the URL ending in an atlassian.net or jira.com domain name? If so, you're using Jira Cloud, if not you're using Jira Server.
Could you also let us know
Thanks
Andy

On desktop, the URL ends with atlassian.net.
I am using the app on iOS, v78.0.0.605

Hi Cindy
In the iOS app we filter out swimlanes for epics that have no stories on the board. Under swimlane we understand an epic group that appears in all columns. Thus, if at least one column has a story, the same epic group will appear in all columns. Maybe this can explain why you see soo many swimlanes (check all columns). If it's not the case, then the best option would be to privately share a video or a screenshot with us.
Your use case where you want to disable swimlanes in the iOS app only is an interesting one, we'll explore it.
Thank you for taking time to write the feedback.

Okay. I see that the swim lanes are only for epics that have at least one story in the active sprint. It’s still a lot of visual noice when I just want to scan the overall status at the end of a sprint.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. We'll explore options to address this.

Another app feature that would help me is if you could make filters available in backlog view. I use it when I’m doing sprint planning to gut check how much work I have lined up for each developer
