Extra Epics in Portfolio for Jira Plan? A fixVersion is not selected, but yet the Epic shows.

Kirk J Gould November 14, 2019

In one of our Scrum Master's Portfolio Plans, people are seeing Epics (in the Scope section) that were not selected.   They don't have a fixVersion, they are not in a Sprint, and they don't even have Stories connected to them by the Epic Link field in the Story.  They don't have a Portfolio Shared Team selected.  Has anyone come across this behavior? Using the selections in the plan don't seem to eradicate the visibility of these Epics.  (Interestingly, there also seems to be a section at the bottom entitled: "Stories without Epics")

To make matters worse, the Epic that is showing up extra is Obsolete and we are not allowed to delete Epics or Stories per our internal policy.

Two Projects and one Board are the Issue sources for the Plan. Has anyone else experienced this?
