HI,

I have attached PNG file to JIRA issue throug REST API, JSON result is 200 & OK. When view the issue in "On demand JIRA" in attachment module shows - Error rendering 'com.atlassian.jira.jira-view-issue-plugin:attachmentmodule'. Please contact your JIRA administrators

We sometimes had the same error, caused by a non valid jpg file. While JIRA tried to display the file there was an error in the logs. You have to remove the attachment to get rid of the error.
