In my Epic, the Child Issues section is reporting that every child issue is marked as "Closed" and the progress bar reports it as 100% done. However, when I go to my Epic Burndown report for the Epic, it reports 6 points as "Work Remaining" in the sprint.

Some additional details, the epic has had different portions pulled into various sprints across a few separate teams.

How are these points determined, and what troubleshooting options do I have to close out the Epic cleanly?

Hi @Dan Shank,

Note sure where that difference could come from. Check if all the closed items have also the Resolution field set because Jira reports also take into account the Resolution field not only the status.

Also, be aware that a better alternative to this report could be the Release Burndown Burnup Chart gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app, which can be configured as an epic burndown

All you have to do is to configure the gadget to use a filter or JQL that returns the issues from your epic (like this: parentEpic = "EPIC-1") and to set the timeline (start-date and the end-date).

See examples of this gadget here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/App-Central/8-gadgets-for-a-powerful-Scrum-dashboard-in-Jira/ba-p/1683063

This app has a 1-month free trial. If you need any assistance with the gadget configuration please contact us at support@stonikbyte.com.
