EPICS and Issues Sequential Order

Marie-Anna Pate May 22, 2024

Is there an easy way to edit the sequential order of epics and issues after you have already started aboard and they have been numbered (CA-1,CA-2, etc...)? For instance, I created subtasks in an issue and then realized I wanted to do the same with other previous issues I had entered, but then the numbering wouldn't be in order I would want and might be confusing.

Thanks :)

Hi @Marie-Anna Pate,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The short answer is no, you cannot edit the issue key in a sequential order. The issue key will be the next available number for the project and you have no control over it.

Adding to this...

@Marie-Anna Pate

Why is it important to you to have those issue key numbers is a specific sequential order? What problem are you trying to solve with that?
