Documentation for Evidence Based Scheduling according to GHS-1656

Anders Persson October 5, 2011

According to the Issue GHS-1656 "Evidence Based Scheduling" is implemented in versino 4.1 and I would like to understand how to use it.

What I need is some way to predict the unscheduled items release date, e.g. which SPRINT they will be done according to the current Velocity estimate.

Today I use "Statistics" and set the Capacity to, for example, 20 Story Points. Then Greenopper shows, by adding a horizontal line with information about the Story Points, which use cases wil be possible to include in the first SPRINT. I would like to have indications for several SPRINTs. Just adding yet some more horizontal lines would help. Can I do that?

Regards

Anders

I solved my problem by counting the number of SPRINTs left until the release and multiply it with our predicted velocity. Then I added that as our Capacity and got an estimate of what will be possible to include in the Release. Maybe not exactly what I wanted but good enough for my purpose.
