Other than the email notice that is generated, is there any other differences between the "Issue Updated" and "Work Stopped On Issue" events? Do they fiddle anything else behind the scenes? I want the output from the "Issue Updated" event, but the step does actually suspend activity on the issue, so not sure if I really need to use the "Work Stopped On Issue" event. If necessary, is there a way to create a new event that basically calls these two routines?
The events that are triggered are controlled by your workflow post conditions as described here. You can ofcourse create custom events and associate them with the transistions.
