We have a Custom Field named "Responsible person (list)" which consists of list of the user ID's. This user ID is copied onto another custom field named "Responsible person" (which is People picker field type) during a workflow transition.
"Responsible person (list - drop down)"-<del>>(copy field value during transition</del>-> "Responsible person (People picker field).
My question is:
Can we remove an option from the field "Responsible person (list)" and still keep the values in the field "Responsible person".
When I try to remove an option, I get a list of issues this option is entered, so I am afraid of doing removal until you confirm that this could be done.

Yes, the two fields are separate (assuming they're standard fields). If you remove an option from the first one, it won't affect the second list at all.
Ok, thnx for your answer. I have tried this removal on the test instance and it works fine.
