I have created a text custom field but it is not reflecting on widgets like Pie Chart and Issue Statistics but the same custom field is reflecting on other widgets like Filter Results. Any suggestions here please.

Hi @vishwanath_b ,

Not all widgets have the same behavior. Some of them allow custom fields and some of them you allow predefined system fields. Especially widgets like Issue Statistics where the drop down selection is limited.

There are add-ons in the marketplace that help enhance the experience of the dashboard by extending or enhancing the widget library.

Hi @vishwanath_b,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Indeed, the text fields are not available in the Jira gadgets that are used for statistics (like Pie Chart or Issue Statistics) because they can have many non-unique values (being free text fields) and the resulted statistic based on such field could result in a large amount of data displayed due to impossibility of data grouping.

But if you really need such stats by text fields, you could search in Atlassian Marketplace for an app (plugin) that provides such gadget.

In case you want to try a plugin, our Great Gadgets app offers a Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget that supports text fields. By using this gadget you can generate all kind of multi-dimensional tables, heat-map tables or charts of various types by using drag&drop, just like pivot tables in MS Excel.
