Custom assignee on workflow transition

I have a multiple folks working on the same issue. I would like this to happen on our workflow: 

status 1 / assign to person 1 (custom field name picker)

transition to:

status 2 / assign to person 2 (custom field name picker)

Is there a workaround available?

You can use the "Copy Value from Other Field" post function in JIRA Suite Utilities plugin to copy the custom field value to assignee.
