Cross-server Linking of issues during ticket creation

JIRA has the ability to link issues across JIRA instances when you click the Link option under the More menu. However, when you create a ticket the link option is only available for the tickets in the server the user is creating the ticket in.  Does Atlassian have plans to allow cross-server ticket links during ticket creation?

It is already available, provided you have created an application link between the two instances. See

Yes.   The linking option is available through the More options Link menu.  But I was talking about having the same capability during TICKET CREATION.  Even if Application Links exist the user is not allowed to Link to other instances during ticket creation.  That option is only available  after the ticket is created.
